Description
The M division of BMW unleashed this powerful SUV and now, with an Akrapovič Evolution Line exhaust system, you can experience more power, reduced weight, and a deeper sporty sound. The titanium performance exhaust includes a link pipe set with resonators, an X-pipe, and a muffler with a dual-mode exhaust flap control to reduce back pressure and enhance power delivery. The system improves power delivery, especially in the high and mid rev range. The dual-mode exhaust flap system creates a deeper but civilized sound at low revs and a sportier exhaust note at higher revs, all without droning. Complete the look with a choice of four 100 mm tailpipes in titanium or carbon fibre. Further tuning opportunities exist with our stainless steel high-flow down pipes.
When installing Akrapovič aftermarket optional down pipes with sports catalytic converters or without catalytic converters, which are developed for use on closed tracks only, remapping the ECU is mandatory. When installing Akrapovič aftermarket exhaust system that was developed for use on closed tracks, we recommend remapping the ECU in order to prevent potential »check engine light« warning signals.
